Keeper Situation

Rather than sign another defender I think we should be looking to sign a top class keeper. I dont think the present incumbent is of the quality required.
Petre Cech on loan anybody?

The Southampton game showed him up a bit, padding the ball away and looking all acrobatic but no real command of the area.

I have questioned the quality of our goalkeepers at the club and got slaughtered for it.
Adrian, as popular as he is with fans,does not instill me with much confidence.
I agree we should be looking to strengthen in this area.

Don't actually think Adrian is that bad, can't remember him costing us too many points plus least he actually gives a shit

Been saying this for a while now. Adrian has a good relationship with the fans and a lot of them are blinded by this and want to give him the benefit because of his passion.
He isn't great at all, Jussi warrantly gets slated for his kicking but Adrian's is no better.
Don't get me wrong, both are good backups, should ship one of them out and replace with a top GK.
Mentioning Cech and West Ham is crazy talk, if Mourinho was to get rid of Cech he will have offers lined up from everywhere, the only way he would end up here is if Mourinho put the blockers on going to a rival, even then we would have to offer something special.

Got slaughtered for saying last year and every week since then he isn't good enough.
He doesn't really have any competition for his place either.
Doesn't command his box, parries the ball too much, compared to keepers in the past we have had he isn't good enough.
Goalkeeper is the most important position on the pitch, other players can score goals, but only one player can save them . One mistake and you could lose a match. Maybe It's because I'm a goalkeeper and played for Enfield for a while quite a while back, but I would love to see us with another Miklosko between the sticks

Agreed. Adrian is a liability - he can't hold on to a ball and always spills it back into the box. He's not good enough.
